'The Satanic Verses' author Rushdie says stabbing left him in a 'lake of blood'




Booker Prize-winning author Salman Rushdie described being left in a “lake of blood” after a frenzied knife attack that left the novelist blind in his right eye. Rushdie’s remarks came during the second day of the trial of his alleged assailant, 23-year-old Hadi Matar.
