Tell us: have you lived in UK temporary accommodation with children?

More than 150,000 children are living in temporary accommodation, according to official figures.

In November, the House of Commons committee on Housing, Communities and Local Government launched an inquiry into the conditions of children in temporary accommodation.

Polly Neate, chief executive of homelessness and housing charity Shelter, said earlier this year: “Those who can’t afford private rents are being thrown into homelessness and then left for months and even years in damaging temporary accommodation because there is nowhere else.”

Are you a parent who’s lived with children in temporary accommodation?

We want to hear from you. How long was it, and what’s been the impact on your family? Has there been any impact on schooling or your child’s wellbeing and development?
