Teddi Mellencamp caught with an old friend Monday in Los Angeles for lunch, who just happened to be another reality star.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 43, who has admitted to going through a ‘hard time’ following surgery to remove a brain tumor, looked in good spirits as she exited an Encino area eatery with Southern Charm star Shep Rose, 44.
Mellencamp, who had to shave her head for recent brain surgery, looked cute in a blonde wig with a cowgirl hat.
She was chic in neutrals, stepping out in a boxy beige sweater over a white T-shirt and wide leg jeans and white sneakers.
Rose looked relaxed in a long sleeve gray sweater with a zip at the neck and a pair of brown corduroy pants.
The restaurateur placed an orange billed hat over his light brown hair and sported a scruffy beard.

‘As soon as i saw Teddi and gave her a hug, then argued about where to sit’ he wrote in a sweet social media post, adding that their time together was ‘more laughs than anything’
Rose shared some sweet details of their meeting on social media.
‘In case you all didn’t know my hometown friend @teddimellencamp recently had several tumors removed from her brain,’ he wrote sharing a photo of the two of them together.
‘There’s still lots to battle but we decided to meet up if she was up for it. We met in Encino, a magical village in the valley,’ he said.
‘As soon as i saw Teddi and gave her a hug, we argued about where to sit.
‘She then rather bluntly announced “I almost died and I still might – make a decision for once Shepard.”’
Rose shared that the two longtime pals ‘love dark humor and Teddi is the queen of it.’
After sharing they had ordered chicken parmesan pasta and some bread and oil, the pair seemed to enjoy, ‘More laughs than anything.’
The still single RelationShep star wrote that Mellencamp ‘has a keen interest and derives much pleasure in my misadventures. Which i think means that she loves me.’
Rose’s last relationship with Sienna Evans ended in Fall 2024, but the relationship is being explored on season 10 of Southern Charm, which began airing in December 2024.

Mellencamp and Rose revealed in an Instagram Live session they had never been romantically involved. ‘I’m one of the only people in Hilton Head Island, SC that did not make out Shep,’ she told viewers
In an Instagram Question and Answer session Monday, the two pals spoke about growing up together in Hilton Heard, South Carolina, and revealed that there had never been any sparks between them.
‘I’m one of the only people in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina that did not make out Shep,’ she told viewers.
‘That’s true,’ the charming Southerner replied.
‘It’s very unfortunate, I know it’s one of your biggest regrets,’ he joked.
The reunion came as Mellencamp was scheduled to begin receiving radiation for her cancer in addition to the immunotherapy she will be receiving every three weeks.
Teddi braced for the worst ahead of her brain tumor diagnosis in February.
The star reunited with Tamra Judge, 57, for a new episode of their Two Ts In A Pod podcast on Thursday and spoke in detail about her health crisis.
Judge remembered Mellencamp texting her after doctors discovered multiple tumors on her brain just weeks ago: ‘You said to me, ‘You all thought I was mental, but actually I’m on my deathbed.”
Teddi confirmed, ‘I remember feeling like this is actually it.’
Tamra responded to Mellencamp’s text message by telling her, ‘No, you’re not [on your deathbed], because if you’re on yours, then I’m on mine because I can’t live without you.’
The effects of the growing tumors were present for six months before the star, who is the daughter of musician John Mellencamp, finally sought medical attention.

She’d been suffering from migraines but ignored the pain and kept pushing forward as she dealt with other things happening in her life.
Teddi announced her divorce from her husband of 13 years, Edwin Arroyave, in November.
‘I didn’t want to face any of it. And I was like, I just need to keep moving forward. And if I keep moving forward, then everything’s going to be fine,’ she explained about her mindset at the time.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star then detailed her difficult recovery as she spoke about being discharged from hospital after her February 12th brain tumor surgery.
She told viewers that she was forced to take ‘disgusting sodium pills’ because, in order to be discharged, she had to urinate.
‘I couldn’t pee, guys. I do not know why I could not pee,’ Teddi said.
The sodium pills proved tough on Teddi’s system as she revealed that they made her throw up ’85 times’ in a single day.
‘One day, I remember I had just thrown up, like, 85 times from the stupid salt pills,’ she confessed to Tamra.

While ‘things were a lot better’ once she was out of hospital and staying at a hotel with full-time nurses there to assist her, Teddi said that she ‘got really, really sad.’
She said the sadness came from her realizing the severity of her situation.
‘Once I understood, then I got really sad,’ she told Judge.
Elsewhere in the episode, Teddi continued: ‘I can say I’ve had some of my darkest, saddest days since [February] 12th when this happened.’
She recalled, ‘I was at a horse show. I remember going to my friend Nicole like, ‘I have the worst migraine I’ve ever had in my entire life.’ I remember not being able to remember how to say certain words.
‘I started shaking really bad and I didn’t know where I was.’
Despite taking migraine medication, the symptoms persisted and even got worse.
‘I remember being in such extreme pain. I could barely walk. I couldn’t see. I didn’t wanna do anything,’ the mother-of-three told listeners.
