The program reflects Nigeria’s commitment to safeguarding data privacy, enhancing governance, and aligning with international best practices in data protection. Through this certification, Nigeria aims to empower professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to build a secure and transparent digital future.

As the National Certification Body for Data Protection in Nigeria, the Institute of Information Management (IIM) has spearheaded this transformative journey. The Insititute appreciates all stakeholders involved, including the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, and all those driving this initiative forward.

This groundbreaking program signifies that a robust data protection framework is essential for fostering innovation, driving economic growth, and building trust in the digital realm. By equipping professionals with certifications, the program aims to enhance data security, boost public trust in data handling, and empower businesses to leverage data responsibly. This will strengthen Nigeria’s position as a leader in data protection, aligning with international standards and driving innovation and economic growth.

Certified professionals will play a vital role in shaping Nigeria’s data protection landscape.
