Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for emerging victorious in the Ondo State Governorship election held on Saturday.
Governor Ododo, who served as the deputy chairman of the committee on election management and strategy in the Ondo State Governorship Campaign Council, praised the hard work and strategic planning of the leadership and members of the APC. Their determination ensured that the APC retained power in Ondo state.
During his time in Owo, where he coordinated election operations in Ondo North Senatorial district, Governor Ododo expressed confidence in Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s ability to continue the development trajectory that the APC has established in Ondo state.
Governor Ododo stated, “Governor Aiyedatiwa has proven himself to be trustworthy and capable of continuing the excellent work of the APC administration in Ondo state. We believe he will enhance infrastructure development, social welfare, and security across the state with this new mandate.”
The Governor commended the people of Ondo state, particularly the non-indigenous communities, for their peaceful conduct throughout the election process. He assured them that their support has been noted and will be duly recognized and rewarded by the government.
Governor Ododo urged the people of Ondo state to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa as he prepares to assume office as the governor of the state from February 2025.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa emerged as the winner of the November 16, 2024 Ondo State Governorship election, securing 366,781 votes to claim victory.
