Singer Danny Jones has issued a public apology to his wife Georgia and family after he was caught on camera sharing a kiss with Maura Higgins just hours after the BRIT Awards.
Danny Jones has come forward with a candid admission regarding his recent indiscretion involving Maura Higgins, expressing his remorse in a sincere message.
The McFly vocalist expressed: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.
“I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
The singer found himself in the spotlight after being seen in an intimate moment with his I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! colleague shortly after the BRIT Awards earlier this month. Footage emerged of Danny and Maura exchanging a kiss at the Universal Music BRIT Awards afterparty on Saturday March 1, reports the Mirror.
An insider close to Danny remarked: “Danny has been mortified about whats happened and the awful situation he has put everyone in. He cares so deeply about his family and hopes his words will draw a line under what has been a deeply upsetting time, for everyone.
“Georgia and his son are absolutely everything to him. Throughout all this, he has been so thankful for the support of his fans. He just wants to move on, and heal in private.”
The source also commended: “Fair play to Danny to owning this and addressing things head-on.”
Maura and Danny were spotted getting cosy at the Universal Music afterparty at 180 The Strand, where they were seen sharing a kiss among other celebrities. Danny was observed giving Maura a quick peck before going in for a more intimate kiss on the lips, much to the surprise of onlookers.
An insider commented that the duo “seemed to be having a great time,” and noted: “They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
The pair reportedly continued their revelries at the luxurious Nobu Hotel in Central London on March 1. According to sources, they indulged in wine until the early hours of 4am and eventually left together at around 6am.
Despite the swirling rumours about his marriage, insiders have confirmed that Danny and his wife Georgia are still united and navigating through the recent events.

“They are clearly looking to put things behind them, and move on with their lives. It really hasn’t been a good time at all but they are very much together,” a source disclosed to the Mirror.
The same source described the couple as “positive people” who are focused on their future together. “Things have been hard but they are moving forward as a couple,” they added.
Last week, another insider revealed to us that Danny’s alleged infidelity has been a “slap in the face” for Georgia, aged 38.
