Sam Asghari got candid as he opened up about his life following his divorce from Britney Spears – which was officially settled earlier this year in May.
The Hot Seat actor, 30 – who sparked romance rumors with a mystery woman a few months earlier – dished on his life after the split while talking to People at the amfAR benefit in Las Vegas on Friday.
Asghari notably filed for divorce from the Toxic songstress, 42, last year in August – just 14 months after the pair tied the knot in June 2022.
‘It’s the bed that you make yourself, and you got to learn how to lay in it, so it’s part of the lifestyle,’ Sam expressed to the outlet.
‘You just got to keep it positive. You got to stay grounded and understand what the truth is and really just live with that rather than other people’s opinions or anything like that.’
Asghari – who was dapper in a classic black suit – was joined by Brooke Irvine at the star-studded event. She is a real estate agent based in Beverly Hills.

Earlier on Friday, both Sam and Brooke were spotted together at LAX airport as they prepared to seemingly fly to Las Vegas for the benefit, per TMZ.
The status of the pair’s relationship has not been publicly confirmed, but the two were seen on a shopping excursion last week.
Back in September, Asghari had been spotted sharing moments of PDA with a mystery blonde at a dog park in L.A. – although it is not known if the woman was also Irvine.
Last year in August, Asghari filed for divorce from Britney and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the split. A little over one year earlier, the pair had said ‘I do’ in June 2022.
Nine months after filing for divorce, Britney and Sam reached a settlement earlier this year in May – and will be declared legally single later this year on December 2.
At the time, a source told DailyMail.com, ‘The case was resolved, to Britney’s credit and at her request, to disentangle her from the probate court system. She wanted to avoid the circus and spectacle of a trial.’
Shortly after Sam filed, Britney broke her silence over their divorce and admitted that she had been ‘a little shocked.’
‘I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly!!!’ the singer revealed in the caption of an Instagram dancing clip. ‘In some sort of telepathic way, I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you!!!’

‘I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that!!!’
Despite the separation, Spears added that she was ‘actually doing pretty d**n good!!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile!!!’
Sam had also addressed the divorce and shared, ‘After six years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.’
‘We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always,’ he expressed, while also adding, ‘S**t happens.’
Two months after he filed, Britney’s memoir, The Woman In Me, was released in October. She mentioned Asghari in the book and called him a ‘gift from God.’
In response, the actor said, ‘That made me smile to be honest, I am freaking proud of her and I hope she takes over the world.’
Earlier this year in March, Asghari told People that he would never ‘talk badly’ about Spears following their divorce.
‘It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on. I never understood when people part ways [and] they talk badly about each other.’

He added, ‘That’s something I’m never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life.’
Back in May, Sam expressed that he felt ‘terrible’ for Spears after the star’s incident at the Chateau Marmont that sparked new mental health concerns for the singer at the time.
The actor had found the situation ‘worrisome,’ a source told Us Weekly – hours after the pop star was escorted barefoot out of the iconic hotel with paramedics and ex-felon, Paul Richard Soliz.
‘Sam will always have a soft spot for Britney and will always be protective over her,’ the insider told the outlet, adding that he, ‘is a helper and was there for her in her hardest times. He hopes she is OK.’
Although the former couple ‘don’t communicate anymore,’ Asghari found the latest incident to be ‘definitely worrisome.’
‘Sam has been down this road with Britney before and knows how she is,’ the source expressed, while adding that he ‘feels terrible if she is not surrounded by positive people in her life.’
The insider further explained that despite their split, Sam ‘will always wish [Spears] the best and would be there for her if she needed him.’
Britney has also since moved on following the divorce, and released her best-selling memoir, The Woman In Me, in October 2023.

She also reportedly had a brief fling with Paul Soliz – but in July of this year, it was revealed they had split over Britney having fears he was using her for clout.
According to sources, the singer was ‘not hurt over the break-up’ and found solace in spending time with her older brother Bryan at the time.
Spears also recently enjoyed a tropical getaway to Turks and Caicos – and shared an assortment of photos and clips for the lavish trip to her main Instagram page.
The Baby One More Time songstress also paid her final child support payment to ex, Kevin Federline, earlier this month.

Sam and Brooke shared affectionate moments as they spent time in the VIP area – and the pair later paused for a photo behind the DJ booth with Kaskade.
The actor flashed a big smile as he draped his left arm over Brooke’s shoulders while sporting a plain black shirt and black trousers.
