Prince Andrew has definitely caused quite the stir in recent years, so much so that a school named after him will be rebranded.
Students at Prince Andrew School – the only secondary school on the remote British overseas territory of St Helena – have been asked to come up with something more ‘neutral’.
The government of St Helena said the name change has even got the backing of Buckingham Palace.
The decision to rename stems from ‘recent public controversy’ and ‘negative media coverage’, the government on the island said.
Head teacher Phil Toal said: ‘While we respect history, we must also be mindful of how past associations impact the present and future.
‘Choosing a new name allows us to honour the contributions of our students and community without the burden of controversial ties.’

The new name is expected to be unveiled as early as this month as the school waves goodbye to its association with the Duke.
‘The school believes this change is a crucial step in ensuring its name embodies the values, aspirations, and identity of its students and the wider community,’ the statement said.
‘The decision to rename the school stems from several factors, including recent public controversy and negative media coverage.
‘The school believes a neutral name will foster a positive and forward-thinking learning environment, free from contentious associations.’
Prince Andrew is currently under fire after Donald Trump’s new FBI chief vowed to ‘do everything‘ to expose Jeffrey Epstein’s associates.
Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement and paid millions to Virginia Giuffre in 2022 to avoid going to trial.
This was over allegations he sexually abused Ms Giuffre three times when she was just 17, and while she was the victim of a trafficking ring orchestrated by Epstein and his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.
Andrew has always denied the allegations.
King Charles reportedly cut off Andrew’s ‘£1million allowance’ in the fallout after the Duke settled out of court with Ms Giuffre.
More recently, Andrew has faced further scrutiny over links to an alleged Chinese spy.
The alleged spy was apparently invited to Andrew’s birthday party in 2020 – but he’s now been banned from the UK by MI5 on ‘security grounds’.
