Fitbit’s app was down across the US as users reported server error issues.
The outage, which lasted for about four hours, made it impossible to log into accounts and sync devices.
Fitbit’s status dashboard showed a service outage with ‘Device Sync/Pairing.’
‘Users may have seen errors when signing in and synchronizing their data between the mobile app and the tracker,’ the website stated.
Downdetector, a site that monitors online outages, showed issues hit the fitness tracker around 5:55am ET.

Fitbit did not acknowledged the outage on its social media pages, but users posted on X about not being able to log into their accounts.
One X user posted: ‘@FitbitSupport is your app down? Won’t sync so deleted and tried to reinstall, now won’t recognize my sign in/password, getting ‘server error’ message?’
The company’s support page responded with a ‘fix’ of force closing the app ‘like you’re closing some open apps on your phone and reboot your phone.’
However, users noted that the issues were due to the app being ‘100 percent down.’
It is unclear what caused the disruptions.
Downdetector showed the outage largely hit the East Coast, plaguing Washington DC, New York City and Boston.
The outage map also also highlighted Chicago, Los Angeles and Dallas.
