HE spotted the perfect Nutcracker inflatable in The Range and raced it to the till.
But staff were left perplexed when the man’s ‘Winter Wonderland’ box wouldn’t scan.
Taking to TikTok, the shopper explained that the barcode was actually bringing up an item for £1,000 – increasing the confusion amongst staff members even more.
Despite the mixup, he managed to convince them to let him take the box – which had ‘store use only’ written on the bottom – home for just £30.
However, when he got it out and inflated it, he quickly realised he’d made a massive mistake.
As between the two giant Christmas nutcrackers was a banner which read “Welcome to The Range”.

“So we got this in The Range but they couldn’t find a price,” he began the clip.
“But it does say store use, I wonder why?”
Posing underneath the banner, he then said: “No wonder it said store use and was £1,000, we’ll have three of them!”
His wife, who had been filming, then chimed in: “Only my husband!”
“We’ll take that – no-one is going to have these decorations!” he added.
To which his wife hilariously quipped: “Just us and The Range?”
He then took the camera to film his other half by the Nutcrackers as he asked her: “So what do you think?”
She looked entirely unimpressed as she joked: “Shall I go and get a job at The Range?”
“Yeah, all staff employees – this is your new base!” he concluded the video.
“I wondered why they couldn’t find a price for it, it was coming up as £1000!” he wrote in the video caption.
In the comments section, one person wrote: “I’m a ex staff member of the range and I’m confused how they sold that!”
“I know!” the man replied.
“I was at the till for like 40 minutes.
“They were trying to work out why it was coming up on the till at £999!”
“Honestly was not expecting the reveal, howling,” another laughed.
“Please keep it up, it’s brilliant,” a third urged.
“Get a new plaque for your house and rename your house ‘the range’,” someone else giggled.
Others suggested he should use some correcting fluid, tinsel or even a large sticker to cover up the part of the decoration that said ‘The Range’.
