It’s pretty self-explanatory, really: stay away from the touristy main streets and anything that shouts loudly about the “authentic Irish experience”. Sack off Temple Bar, which may be pretty but isn’t worth enduring the hecticness for an entire pint, especially around the madness of St Patrick’s Day 2025. Get out, explore the wider areas, and, as always, listen to the locals.
